An external gateway is a third-party SMS provider, such as Twilio, Plivo, Vonage, or Telnyx, that you can connect to Easify to send and receive SMS messages.
Instead of using Easify's built-in gateway, you can connect your own provider account and route your messages through that gateway.
Lower credit usage – Messages sent through an external gateway use 1 Easify credit per message, compared to 4 credits per 160 characters when using the Easify Gateway.
Use your existing phone numbers – Phone numbers already associated with your connected gateway account can be accessed and used in Easify.
Keep your existing setup – If you already use a supported gateway, you can connect your existing account to Easify without migrating your phone numbers or starting over.
When you use an external gateway, you are responsible for meeting the compliance requirements of your gateway provider.
This includes requirements such as:
10DLC registration
Carrier compliance
SMS opt-in and consent
Opt-out management
Other applicable messaging regulations
Make sure your external gateway account and phone numbers meet all applicable requirements before sending messages through Easify.
Follow these steps to connect your Twilio, Plivo, Vonage, or Telnyx account to Easify:
Log in to your Easify account.
Go to Settings > Gateways.
Select your gateway provider.
Click Add Account.
Enter the required credentials for your selected gateway. You can find these details in your gateway provider's dashboard.

Click Save to connect your account.
Once connected, your associated phone numbers will appear under Phone Numbers in Easify. Each number displays its gateway provider's logo, making it easy to identify which gateway it belongs to.
Note: If you use an external gateway to send SMS to U.S. recipients using local 10-digit numbers, complete the required 10DLC registration through your gateway provider before sending messages.
