# Sync Old Messages

Learn how to recover and sync older SMS messages from your Android phone to your Easify dashboard. Find out how to select a time range, scan for missing messages, and upload them without creating duplicates.

The Sync Old Messages feature allows you to upload SMS messages from your Android phone to Easify that may not have appeared in your dashboard.

You can use this feature to recover messages received before you installed Easify Connect or during periods when the app was not running.

This helps keep your Easify inbox up to date with your phone's messaging activity.

## **How to Sync Old Messages**

Follow these steps to find and upload older messages from your phone.

1.  Open the **Easify Connect** app on your Android phone.
    
2.  Go to the **Profile** screen.
    
3.  Tap **Sync Old Messages**.
    
4.  Select the time range you want to check (e.g., Last 7 days or Last 30 days).
    
5.  Tap **Scan** to find messages that are missing from your Easify inbox.
    
6.  Once the scan is complete, tap **Sync** to upload the messages to your Easify dashboard.
    

## **Preventing Duplicate Messages**

Easify Connect automatically checks for duplicate messages during the sync process.

Only messages that are not already available in your Easify inbox will be uploaded.

This means you can sync older messages without worrying about creating duplicate entries.

## **When Should I Use Sync Old Messages?**

You may need to use this feature when:

-   You have just installed Easify Connect and want to upload older messages.
    
-   Some messages were received while Easify Connect was not running.
    
-   Your phone received messages that did not appear in your Easify dashboard.
    
-   You want to recover messages from a specific period.
    

**Tip:** Select the time range that covers the missing messages to make it easier to find and sync them.
